Utilizing my extensive knowledge of specialized education processes, laws, and systems paired with a deep understanding of children with disabilities, I work with your family and school team to create an Individualized Education Plan that meets the unique needs of your student. I empower you to be a voice for your student and help create a collaborative team that is focused on ensuring success.

Tutoring

Using my 18 years of teaching experience, I engage students individually to address their academic and functional needs. My approach involves filling in any knowledge gaps, imparting academic strategies tailored to their unique learning styles, and bolstering their executive functioning abilities.

Professional Development

Drawing upon my extensive 18-year background in both special and general education, I facilitate professional development sessions for educators and administrators. I equip teachers with the skills to craft thorough Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) grounded in data-driven approaches. I also provide specialized training to school staff on effectively supporting students across a spectrum of disabilities, with particular expertise in ADHD, Autism, Emotional Disabilities, and Learning Disabilities.

Meet Ambyr, a dedicated educational expert who is passionate about supporting students, families, and school teams as they work together to meet the complex needs of students in school and at home.

With over 18 years of experience, Ambyr provides expert guidance on navigating the complexities of special education and helping students with diverse needs. She has a Masters in Special Education, a Bachelors in Elementary Education and a Bachelors in Psychology. She is a former special education teacher and children & family therapist who is passionate about helping students and families.

Situated in Alexandria, VA, Ambyr's depth of knowledge and empathetic guidance are here to empower students and families with professionalism and warmth.
